"My wife and I moved to Delaire in 2002 as snow birds from Chicago without knowing anyone at the club or ever having belonged to a country club before. Two quick stories tell it all as far as our love of our Delaire membership is concerned.

We are now in our third house here. Our first house was great, it was an interior lot house that had been gutted and rebuilt. We loved it, the problem was our kids, grandkids and friends from Chicago loved it too. So after a few years, we sold our house up North and sold our first house at Delaire and started the process of building a new house at Delaire that was large enough for family, friends and business friends to visit and enjoy the Good Life at Delaire with us. During the construction, we rented a house at Delaire until our new house was done.

The second story is a quick story about the “extended family” feeling here at Delaire. My Dad died about 3 weeks ago, and the number of cards, calls and donations made in his honor from our extended family here at Delaire has been heart warming to say the least. I truly felt the warmth of our friendships here during this period of my life."
